Leather Care & Conditioning

Leather conditioning is a process of “refatting” leather to replenish tanning oils. The oils preserve and lubricate the internal fiber structure. Another benefit of keeping your leather conditioned is that it softens and restores flexibility by reducing internal friction. However, over time the loss of lubrication increases friction as fibers move against one another when leather flexes. Loss of the tanning oils causes your leather to become brittle and the fibers to degrade mechanically. That’s why Sameday offers a premium leather reconditioning service to renew the oils of the leather and prolong the longevity of your furniture.
